I've always worked on TV. Namely as a fixer, producer, translator, location scout, researcher, edit producer.
From generating programme ideas to ensuring everyone is catered for on set - you'll need creativity, accuracy and industry knowledge. A programme researcher provides support to the producer and production team. The researcher has a responsibility for fact checking, writing briefs for presenters and has to be aware of the legal and ethical considerations surrounding the release of information to the press and public, especially when sensitive or contentious issues are involved.
A local journalist, hired by a foreign correspondent to help arrange a story. They will most often act as a translator and guide, and will gain access to local interviews that the correspondent would not otherwise have access to. Or he/she may be hired by a filmaker who wants to film abroad. A Fixer provides logistical support, facilitates permit, custom, location, talent, crews, equipment, accommodation and transportation.
One employed to render written works or oral conversation into another language. It may happen either when filming if part of the crew is Italian and doesn't speak English or during an interview, if the interviewee and the correspondent don't speak the same language.

Although I'm a serious and responsible professional, I don't always take myself seriously.
Born and raised in Rome, I like writing – especially satirical stuff. I’m not much of a numbers person until it comes to money - then I quickly turn into a wizard. I’m passionate about all things audiovisual - from music videos to film, from TV to online news. My educational background includes a BA in Foreign Languages (English, French and Spanish), a Master in European Studies and a MA in Journalism. During the MA I got an internship on TV as a researcher in LA7 (the third TV channel in Italy) - and that's how it all began. I also worked as a fixer and edit producer.
I spent one year in London. That's when I had the chance to work for the BBC. I did a Panorama about the migrant crisis in the Mediterranean called 'Children of the great migration'. People who have worked with me say 'I'm reliable and I think outside the box'. Some English colleagues who have worked with me also say 'As an Italian, I should definitely gesticulate more'.
